Alright... so these are pretty awesome

These are Munnys. If you don't know about them... they're toys by Kid Robot that you can collect and paint yourself. They come plain straight out of the box in various colours with a collection of accessories (hats, bow ties, skateboards etc.) My boyfriend and I have a crazy collection of Munnys at home, and here are some images of some pretty rad Munnys painted by some pretty rad artists.

Alviero Martini- love love love

I know this designer has been around for a while... but I didn't know his name. It seemed like everyone in the world had one of those "map bags" or at least a lame knock-off version of it. ALVIERO MARTINI- This print is amazing and is my next to die-for bag. They range from $150USD-$2100USD and are available everywhere on the web. Check out the classic leathers 1A Classe

How long do you think it'll be before I give in? I'm bidding on ebay right now...!!

Louis Vuitton- A Passion for Creation

Hong Kong's Museum of Art History is hosting a temporary exhibition of Louis Vuitton history and creative collaborations. We were lucky enough to get tickets last Sunday to visit the exhibition.
The majority of the first floor covered inspirational artists and art pieces by various contemporary artists. There were also many installations and vintage movie screenings with many mixed mediums. This part was cool, but it dragged on a little longer than I had expected, especially since we were there to see the Louis Vuitton pieces and collections.
Anyways, so the real LV exhibition started with the original LV travelers suitcases from the early 1900s. The super extravegant suitcases opened into full wardrobes, entire silverware sets with china included, and some opened into writing desks complete with chair inside! Simply Amazing!
The exhibition didn't show as many collection pieces as I thought it would, but it definitely had the iconic designers/artists of Louis Vuitton- Takashi Murakami, Richard Prince, and Stephen Sprouse with their own special sections within the museum. It was all amazing to see. My favorite part was an entire wall within the Stephen Sprouse room covered in original LV polaroids, some vintage, some of artists and muses, and some with Kate Moss and Marc Jacobs himself... pretty cool. If you live in HK I really recommend taking the time to visit and take in all the amazingness!

Coco Avant Chanel

We went to see this movie last Saturday night... and it was absolutely stunning.
I understand that Anne Fontaine's "Coco Avant Chanel" won't be released to the rest of the world until sometime this summer or early September, but this movie is a MUST SEE when it plays in your country. My boyfriend and I are currently living in Hong Kong so we were able to watch it, and it is all the rage here in Asia.

Audrey Tautou plays Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel, and she is absolutely breathtaking in this movie. I fell in love with her within the first few minutes, and she holds true to her character the whole way through. The french screenplay is an inspired documentary on the life of Coco Chanel before she became a designer in the late 1800s. It most definitely wouldn't be described as a "Hollywood Movie" but its the charm and the wit and the realism that gives the movie all its glory. True Brilliance.

Good Morning Sunshine!

This is some serious breakfast. I've seen some pretty rad versions of the Hello Kitty Toaster... but this ones gotta take the cake! This here is the happiest little toaster in the world...!!!
