So I watched a cult film from 1967 called "Valley of the Dolls", and it definitely exceeded expectations. It starts a little slow, but the colours, imagery and characters are interesting, and the storyline is fun, and completely relevant to the era.
Its about a young actress finding fame in the film industry and losing herself to drugs. She struggles with relationships and addictions, to the point of no control. I loved Sharon Tate's character.. shes just stunning!
"I can't go a day without a doll.."
After watching this film I'm inspired to make a line of 60s inspired dresses. I wish I lived in this era, just for the clothes and makeup.
..Can't wait to read the book!!! :D
